If you are going to "Organize" you might consider something like Devon Think.  
This takes all your pdfs,  jpgs,  does ocr on them,  and files them.  Then you 
can search for tags,  keywords,  etc.  If I type in pump,  it will bring up the 
10 or 15 scans for toilette pumps,  repair of engine water pumps,  etc.
