I'm looking at a small outboard for my 9 Ft RIB. I was thinking 3-6 hp. I came across a 1971 British Seagull Model 40 Plus, 3 hp in running condition. I've been told that the engines are well built, usually start on 2 pulls, have parts availability and seem to run forever. It is also very classic (i.e.OLD) looking.
Can I have any opinions or thoughts the Group may have on this engine. Thanks in advance.
