Aha. I knew I missed something important. :) Thanks for that. So isn't
there any way we can allow a user to disable DHCP at boot without

On a separate, but somewhat related issue, do you have any objection to
adding our bootscripts patch to the bootscripts in LFS trunk?
I prefer to keep it separate, because this patch is closely tied with the LiveCD
boot process. I.e., it can change if we alter initramfs, e.g., move back to unionfs.
