OK. Thanks for telling me, but I'm not sure I understand what you mean.
I know 'expert' used to disable hotplug, as well and I can see how that
would be affected with the new udev setup, but I would have thought that
it would have affected the network bootscript. It used to just grep
/proc/cmdline for 'expert' and bring up the interface if it didn't find
it. What's that got to do with udev?
