True that.
I can do it, but then someone who is not attached to any proposal should
review it and change.
I want to make this analysis as feeling-unrelated as possible - to make
clear criteria of what earns a name a point and what does not.
Example criteria:
· easy to pronounce
· short
· unique (easy to search)
· music-related
· humorous (makes you smile)
· good-sounding
· accurately capturing the character of the program
· extra positive meanings
One has to give *0, 1 or 2* points for each criteria.
Example analysis for *LMMS* *(Linux Multimedia Studio)*:
· easy to pronounce 1
· short 1
· unique (easy to search) 2
· music-related 1
· humorous (makes you smile) 0
· good-sounding 1
· accurately capturing the character of the program 0
· extra positive meanings 0
SCORE: * 6*
Example for *KHORD*:
· easy to pronounce 2
· short 2
· unique (easy to search) 2
· music-related 1
· humorous (makes you smile) 1
· good-sounding 1
· accurately capturing the character of the program 1
· extra positive meanings 0
SCORE: * 10*
Example for *BUSS (BUSS Unison Music Studio)*:
· easy to pronounce 2
· short 1
· unique (easy to search) 1
· music-related 1
· humorous (makes you smile) 1
· good-sounding 2
· accurately capturing the character of the program 2
· extra positive meanings 2
SCORE: * 12*
This could be done as a poll among the community - a more elaborate voting
it would be making chances that the picked name will be objectively and
subjectively good.
