Instead of additional LEDs I have a little different concept:

I could do graphics for such "lamp buttons" that would be the size of
current buttons, but would replace them.
They could be used just for Solo/Mute buttons both in the Project Editor
and Mixer.
Dedicated graphics with "S" and "M" drawn in the SVG's could be a good idea
here for consistency and aesthetics.

I'd like to give it a try, however I won't have time for it not until
tomorrow (about 24 hours to go).

Proposed file names in the theme/default folder:

*solo_off.pngsolo_on.pngmute_off.pngmute_on.png*

These could be 22x22 (about - correct me!) graphics. In the Project Editor
they'd be side by side, in the Mixer they'd be vertically in one column
(Mute on top or Solo on top?).

I'd just need to know the colors for lit Mute and lit Solo (Mute i guess
would be red, and solo - orange?)
The off states would be gray.

Please note that this concept inverts the mute button state in relation to
0.4.15 - previously it was the "ON" button, now it's the "OFF" button, so
inverting this behavior and automation interpreting in older projects might
be needed. But this is probably already done since the button is already a
mute button - i.e when it's enabled, the sound is disabled - in 0.4.15 when
this was enabled, the sound was enabled too.
