22 is way, way too large. The current leds are 15 pixels wide (IIRC) and
that's about as large as they should be.

This is getting so far into new functionality territory, that I don't
think this is something that we should even consider until after the
next release is out. Right now we should concentrate on bugfixes and
polishing the RC for release, not new functionality.

There's all kinds of things to consider here - breaking existing
workflows, backwards-compatibility (if you load an old track, will all
the channels be muted?) and so on. This is really not something I'm
comfortable starting at this stage.

We can start discussions about the mute/solo leds again after 1.0.0 is
out. For now, I think it's best we stick with the current implementation.
