Hi it’s Peter here

Welcome to my very first Levy Letter emailed straight to your inbox.

Small start to a big week
=========================
It’s a big week for us on the show starting today and I don’t just mean that
Paul is back from his waterlogged holiday. By the way, what's the difference
between a fir cone and a weatherman? The fir cone knows when it’s going to
rain. Poor old Paul you’d think he would know when to take a holiday!

Levy Letter is launched
=======================
No the really big news is this is the first edition of my Levy Letter. Every
week day I’ll send you an email letting you know what’s coming up on the show.
I’ll also have my ear to the ground so I’ll be able to tell you what’s bubbling
below the surface across the East Riding and Lincolnshire.

If you’re reading this you’ll already know how easy it is to sign up for it.
Now all you have to do is spread the word and tell all your friends. Simply
click on to our look North home page and follow the instructions. If I can do
it anyone can. And thanks to the hundreds of you who’ve already signed up.

All Change
==========
Today's a big day for another reason too. Our Name Game campaign begins. So
what’s that all about?

Ever thought that the name of our show is wrong? Look North – maybe you think
you don’t live in the north. Lots of you do and you write to tell me. Well
here’s your chance to come up with something better. Here at the BBC we’re
giving you the chance to change the name of the programme. It’s never been done
before. Yes that’s right just like Chris Tarrant we’re going to ‘ask the
audience’ but on a massive scale. It’s the biggest public consultation of its
kind in the BBC’s history. You get to choose. So thinking caps on. I’ll be
telling you how you can get involved on tonight’s show. Oh and don’t worry if
you’re happy with Look North as a name. You can vote to keep it. It really is
up to you.

Your big screen pictures
========================
We’ve been overwhelmed by the number of pictures you’ve been sending in for the
studio's big screen. Keep them coming. By the way I’m thinking of putting a
selection on our website and maybe we’ll have a calendar printed for Christmas.
Let me know what you think.

On the show tonight
===================
Seems there was more action off the pitch than on it at the KC Stadium on
Saturday. There’s a full blown inquiry underway with the FA keeping a watchful
eye. Hull City chairman Adam Pearson says he’ll ban for life any fans found to
have chanted nasty jibes about the London bombs. We’ll have the latest when we
speak to all the key people involved.

Got to rush I'm off to meet to Lulu. She's been a star for over four decades
and I'm sure she'll be a hit with you when she's on the show tonight.

See you at 6.30 on BBC1 as always.

Peter
