Hello there Peter here, Did you have had a good weekend? It's only in this country we can have a day like yesterday followed by a day like today. That's why they call it weather as opposed to climate - like they do abroad. It also makes it harder for my friend to get it right - by the way if he ever does I will put it in the LL !!!! I dont know what you did yesterday, I spent it sitting in my favourite spot at the marina in Hull looking at the boats - with envy!!! I would love a boat but no one round me seems to think it would be a good idea. I can't imagine why. Well done to Graham Boannas - the man who walked across the Humber yesterday and raised a lot of money for charity in doing so. I also spent much of the weekend playing with my new toy - a lap top computer. I have learnt a few basic things but have a long way to go - anyone else in the same position? And what does it mean when it says "the computer is hibernating and looking out the window this morning." Can I go to?
TONIGHT at 6 30 ============= We shall be looking at the issue of access to NHS Dentists on the show tonight. By the way, if you have a dental story that you think we would be intrested in, then get in touch. I am keen to hear anyone who has had great difficulty in getting a dentist or someone who is avoiding going to the dentist because of the fees they may have to pay now. As ever my own e mail address is that the bottom of the LL. Also tonight we shall have a film showing how Graham did that walk across the Humber - our reporter Matt Richards was there. I shall be also talking to a star from the 60s who is on his way to the region - one of the original Animals. We'll also have the latest on our campaign to give you the chance to change the name of Look North. We have had several thousand suggestions and the voting starts in earnest tomorrow night. DIONNE WARWICK =============== Thanks for all the entries to the first LL competition. The answer was HEARTBREAKER and the winners get a pair of tickets each to see the legendary Dionne Warwick in concert in Skegness. The two winners are June Fitzgibbon of Spilsby and Chris Johnson of Holton Le Clay. Thanks to everyone who had a go and I'm sure we shall be having another one soon. CALENDAR ========= We are putting together a calendar for BBC Children in Need using photographs that have been sent in over the last months for the big screen. One thing that has come to light is that we have no scenic pictures of Scunthorpe!! This is another urgent appeal. If you have any then please let me have them as soon as possible. SOFA GUESTS ============ Thanks for all the suggestions for guests we shoud get on the show. We are trying for all of them as soon as we can. Stay tuned as they say for more details. LEVY STICKERS ============= A design student in Hull has made some whacky little stickers of yours truly which have started appearing around the city. I was out on Saturday night in the old town and spotted them myself. They have certainly become a talking point and it's given me a bit of street cred with the students. You may have seen the fellas behind the stickers on the TV on Friday evening - being cheeky about me and egged on my friend Linsey Smith in her report. They called me bohemian - what does that mean ??? LL == Dont forget spread the word about the Levy Letter. If there is anyone you know that you think would like a daily letter then get them to sign up. The addresses of the BBC Humber and BBC Liincolnshire websites are below and if you want to write to me direct my e mail is also there. Must get on now, dont forget any dental stories that you have then drop me a line as soon as possible.
