Speaking 100% as a candidate of *another* certification program, in the
OP's defense, Pearson-Vue handled my MCSA Upgrade exam rather poorly.

E.g., the testing center was closed, but kept reporting itself as open, so
Pearson-Vue considered me as 'skipping' the exam.

Back in 2009, I also had issues with an 83 series -- performance-based --
Microsoft exam, which were short-lived. I.e., they used Novell-SuSE's
practicum-based engine, which was Linux-based, VNC for interaction and
Samba Winbindd for authentication, and a lot of hacks that just didn't
work. Even Prometric handled that poorly too.

I know Microsoft got a lot of complaints in both cases, and they contacted
me in both cases, but they never resolved it. And Microsoft is a much
bigger 'gorilla' than LPI too.

Someone once stated that Pearson-Vue is like the Ticketmaster of
computer-based testing (CBT). I wouldn't go that far. But they could
improve some customer service aspects. But in their defense, Prometric
also had its issues too.

We're just a $150-300 exam taker. It doesn't scale for their customer
service to be involved. So I understand that too.

Again, speaking 100% as a candidate of *another* certification program.
