Fernando's posting is probably saying it all. The point is that Samba
per definition serves Windows clients. We are Linux Professional
Institute, so the chances that *we* will certify Windows skills are low.
I do not want to comment the quality of MS certifications, it's not my
business.

The point is:

As long as Samba is used to serve Windows clients the admin must be able
to configure the clients to use the services that Samba offers. If we
certify a LPIC-3 Samba specialist we must know if she/he is able to do that.

Except of making an MC?? certificate a prerequisite LPI could also
recommend that candidates should be able to testify their MS skills in
addition to the LPIC-3 Samba certificate.

From what I heard here in Germany, it is very useful to own an MC??
certificate in addition to Linux skills if you want to apply as an
administrator on a Samba network.
