I didn't bother with my MCSE until 2003, although I was deploying NT3.1
since the original beta and Samba since 1995 as well.  I didn't like
certs back then, but finally ran into not having them as a limitation
when I started working on my own in 2001+.

Yep.  The programs are jokes -- even in the 2003 series (although it has
improved some).
