I tried the newest version of ifhp/lprng and I am still getting this
problem. I think I have it isolated to the actual DirectJet J3113A (FW:
G.08.49 and G.0832 (two printers)) card. Another printer (HP4100) with the
J2552B(FW A.08.49) seems to print just fine.

Is there a recall to replace the card or something that will fix the
offending commands in the actual postscript to work around this problem? I
am assuming the postscript interpreter on these is pokey for one or two
specific commands. And "smart" drivers get around this problem by
substituting faster commands in. (like the Apple OS X driver.) and not
using the pokey ones. Running the file through ghostscript didn't work for
me.
