Rule of thumb: Printing PostScript from an Adobe product will work best on a printer with a true Adobe PostScript interpreter. Surprise.
Workaround: Use "Print as Image" in Acrobat Reader. This can be either slower or faster, depending on the content of the document. It will likely be lower quality, but not much lower.
