I just got this card working. It is designed to use flash rom. You need to do the following steps: 1.) Before using the NIC with bootrom for the first time you need to boot once from diskette to fix a bug of the NIC. The disk cannot be optained from rom-o- matic, you need to compile it from the etherboot package with option -DCFG_3C90X_BOOTROM_FIX. If desired, i can send you the compiled diskette-image. You may ask for it by PM. 2.) Use Flash ROM AT29C010-90 PC (DIL-32); I bought it from Reichelt Elektronik. (http://www.reichelt.de) 3.) The Flash ROM can be programmed while mounted on the card. An eprom programmer is not needed. Use the Linux program 3c90xutil/bromutil for this. You will find it in the etherboot package.
