I'd just test the case. I'm quite sure that 29C512 will work with
standard NIC. The 29C010 will be too large (128kB) for most
NE2000-clones. If you don't mind buying *one* chip for testing...
(I had a NIC that explicitely stated supporting both, and it was a PCI
NE2000 clone, long time back...)
I'm not in the situation to own a NE clone anymore (RTL8139/69 cards),
so cannot run this test myself.
