I have seen exactly that on an identical network (Gb server, 8.04.1 x86_64, 4*tc)and described it on this list a few months ago. I have no advice for you and it continues to be this way on my small network. I would love to know if somebody has some ideas to troubleshoot this. Some things I have been able to determine while this slowdown-due-to-peer-flash is happening: 1. server cpu usage is low (~15%) 2. server load is low (~0.3 on dual-core) 3. tc cpu usage is low 4. network usage is low (I have yet to see >20 MB/s Tx from the server gigabit nic with 4 tc connected @100mbit each) Because this problem is affecting all tcs, it must lie with the server or the network, no? I'm not sure where else to look because I see no symptoms of overload on either of these. db ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _____________________________________________________________________ Ltsp-discuss mailing list.
