its not the first time ive taken the stroll there...the IX state was a little better last year...it was close to clean....but from what i know, my last visit there about two months back had me wondering what has become of it.
there is an air duct in the room that we use and that is a great source of dust, the backup batteries are fine....the power systems can hold up the systems there for a long while.
i wrote to the addresses that badru had sent the call for a meeting bitterly asking us to observe the rules setup for the IX. a number of times i have found my router at the IX plugged into a direct power source....every single time UMEME did their thing, it went off. may be your has the same problem.
there is no limited access into that room. anyone who wants the key gets the key...no stoping anyone who wants to malice another.....the chaps who keep the keys are drunk as early as 10am in the morning, i doubt they'd recall who took the keys from them an hour later.....may be its time we looked into relocating the IX to a more secure and sane environment else....i think we are shooting ourselves in the foot....

You will need to cross-check indeed. The last time I was there, all
devices were on the power backup.
