Please post the public ip address of the mail server here so that we can better help by doing sdome telnet tests for you.
Also the domain name would be useful so we can do some lookups and verify that your dns setup[ is correct. Obfuscating those details does not make your security any better than it already is or isn't. Security through obscurity rarely helps.
