1. what MTA are you running?
2. telnet 'public IP address' 25
3. telnet localhost 25
4. what do the logs on the mail server say
5. your NAT configuration
you seem to have valid DNS records

apart from that, i cannot connect to you from the outside world. i telnet fine, but get kicked out almost immediately and when it holds i get 'connection timed out'

either your NAT is not working as it should, or your mail server does not accept connections from the outside world.
sift your log files for the errors that it records, those will help you. and of course, give the information that is requested, right now we are trying to solve something that we have no clue about....
