As IT guys, submitting a CV in editable format smacks of amateur behaviour. It is like we are ignoring the P in PDF.

I liken that to disqualifying an applicant based on his/her accent, skin color or culture. In the states all job search websites expect uploads in .doc format so naturally majority of job seekers have resume in .doc format. It has nothing to do with actual computer skills. Even my resume is in .doc format and that didn't prevent me from getting the position I currently have.
