I have no idea how you could liken a technological gaffe to a cultural or genetic variation. Saving something in DOCX has nothing to do with race, or religion, or ethnicity, or even culture. It has to do with the fact that you obviously don't know that there is a right place and a right time for every file format, and you just chose the wrong one. It's like wearing shorts in a job interview for an executive position. No matter the other qualifications, it shows a quite serious flaw in character, made all the more serious that it is such a basic one.
