Thank you, I didn't even consider the Office 2003 issue. That makes it doubly senseless, and it also shows how important it is to use a portable document format. Such as, oh, I don't know... Portable Document Format? :)
It is marginally more understandable if you are applying for a job not pertaining to computers at all, even though I do feel that everything worth doing is worth doing well---that is, if you've found your way to a computer to write a CV you should go all the way to make sure you not making any mistakes. But when applying for an IT job? Were I the manager at a workplace with such a person present, I wouldn't allow that person to touch a keyboard in my presence. Where there is one flaw of judgement there are quite often more to come. Note that I am not commenting on this particular CV in general. I haven't even read it yet, and for all I know he made an honest mistake and didn't mean to send it in DOCX. I will give him the benefit of the doubt. On 23 January 2013 19:05, David M.
