I actually had a (well paid! :-) jazz gig on theorbo last month. In a combo with a grand piano and a 6-string electrical bass guitar. They were pro jazz players, I felt the amateur. And loved every minute of it. There is supposed to be a video of the whole thing, but for those curious for the combination, there are pictures on my pictures page. The next day I had to play Biber et al with a modern violin girl playing a Stradivarius. Again no HIP-police around ...
