To cite myself: "The best thing that I can think of in your case is that you have run into bug #5957: If you scale down an image with an odd number of rows to 50% (on screen), Qt4.5.0 would crash." See www.lyx.org/trac/ticket/5957. Well, yesterday we found out that this bug is back in Qt4.5.2, so I withdraw my advice to update Qt.. (for now), but LyX 1.6.4 has a work-around for this. Vincent
