My favorite GPS app on the iphone is motionx gps drive, with the exception of some unlabeled buttons, it's very useable. It's a shame Garmin's app does not provide spoken walking directions, because the app itself is very accessible.

I tried the update for a couple of hours yesterday and had the same problems here with the Navigon North America version. My negative findings mirror those of DOnal and Anne. There are several critical elements in the UI that VO is denied access to, the whole system became very sluggish at times repeatedly becoming non-responsive with an "in progress" message, and getting out of navigation mode is messy.

On the positive side, the new method of selecting individual states and provinces is accessible and it seems they've simplified the UI to eliminate some of the confusing steps previously required to get to certain bits of information.

I haven't been a heavy Navigon User for several months, so this update doesn't effect me much but knowing that the app is very popular with the VI VO community, I can imagine Navigon will be hearing from many of us.

Some people seem to like the new Navigon, but I find it to be a complete disaster! I can get it to start navigation, but stopping navigation is almost impossible for a VO user. Also, it crashes when trying to do anything after starting navigation.
