Hello Listers,

If anyone has had this happen I'd appreciate tips on how to get iTunes to
recognize the phone.

The situation is that good friends of mine that often share iPhone tips and
help are now having the following problem

They updated to Snow Leopard from Leopard. Now when they plug in their iPhone
4 to the computer iPhoto recognizes that a phone is there but in iTunes it does
not show up. I had them restart their computers and restart their phones but
it did not change the problem.

Also we did google and looked on the Apple site but we didn't find a answer. in
most cases the help areas just assumed that when you plug in the phone to the
computer it will show up in devices. Nothing was mentioned about what to do if
that doesn't happen!

I've bragged about how helpful this list is so I'm pushing the limits here to
see if I can help them. I owe them for mush Apple help and would love to give
back. In fact when my Mac Book showed up new in the box it was these friends
who helped with my first big problem. that was... Finding the darn start
button. That thing can be really hard for a newbie to find!
