Internet on a 68K LC??

A friend is in need of a cheap (read free) machine to surf the net 
and check email and I have a dusty old LC520 sitting around on the 
office floor.
Would anyone know if it's viable these days to surf and check mail on 
such an antique?
If so, would anyone know the best vintage web browser and mail 
program to run on such a machine with OS 7.6?
