Hi Keith

Several thoughts ...

If it is the same key you may have something trapped underneath the key/keys
or the keyboard cables may not be correctly seated on the logic board.

If you see a diagonal line of keys not functioning it may be a fault on the
keyboard.

I'd undo the 3 retaining screws under the Powerbook, gently lift the
keyboard and undo the clips on the logic board retaining the keyboard cables
CAREFULLY.

Take the keyboard out give if a good blow and replace.

If you still have a problem then I can supply replacements.

The 190, 5300 and 3400 are all the same.
