If I then remove my original memory card from the Mac and replace it with the new one and try to start the Mac nothing happens no boing! no screen. Monitor remains as if switched off If I replace the old memory Mac operates ok. This would point to a problem with the new memory card. Dang! Bought it off E-Bay from the States I've reinstalled the both memory modules and it shows up in Apple profiler. If I allocate memory to an application that 'absorbs' the total memory available. The application launches ok. If I try to launch aplication it invites me to quit the first. Can I take it from this that the memory is usable?
