Dear All, I have just installed Broadband with a BT supplied Acatel/Thomson SpeedTouch 330 ASDL modem.
After software install, I set up the Modem Control Panel, but there is no option at the 'Connect via' drop down options list for 'SpeedTouch 330'. There are just the normal 'Printer Port' and 'Modem Port'. When I plug the modem into the USB socket, a message says 'Software for SpeedTouch 330 not found'. The Devices tab in Apple System Profiler shows that my G3 have recognised the Alcatel SpeedTouch 330, and the extensions are running. The Alcatel diagnostic program says that the extensions are loaded, but says the device is detached. I am using a G3 Mini Tower 266 on OS9 with a pci USB card using downloaded Apples USB Support v1.4.1. BT can't help, and I am awaiting Alcatel's support's reply. I think the problem is related to the Modem Control Panel 'Connect via' option. Can anyone help?
