I don't think you can copy it across.....I recall trying that many
years ago with no success. What version are you running on the G3? If
it's 9.1 it's just a straight 2 x download and uprade from apple as I
think the G3 is supported for 9.2.2. My 8600 is not supported so I had to
use the helper from os9forever.com.
If you're running 9.0.4 I don't really know if you can upgrade to
9.1 for free....can't you install 9.2 and X and ignore X or throw it?
