Something like a Dell Optiplex would have been a fairer match. The external case is mainly plastic... cant remember how much support there is inside, but it would have broken *at least* as much as the Mac. Then, because the internals are bespoke, off the shelf would be impossible. I'd like to see him get a replacement out of Dell in three days too!! (Oooh, don't get me started on Dell's support.....I think that sending a laptop back 3 times with a faulty screen only to have it returned with the same fault and a "clean" bill of health is a complete joke. If we hadn't escallated by threatening to stop buying Dell, I think it would still be broken!!)
