Don't get me wrong, I wholeheartedly support having a local Mac shop, and I think they have great service and great people. I think they give great value for the work that they do. But I also can't ignore prices for some commodity items like hard drives, or memory. I will shop around if I have the time to do it. If it is mission critical, I'll go to a local shop. That extra percentage I'll be paying is worth it. Sorry if some people thought I was trying to start a flame war about prices at Mactown, that has no place on this public list.
