Allan: Okay, I think I now understand the distinction between groups and categories. You are correct that Entourage "groups" are not the same as "categories," but I still maintain that you _can_ print out address books of a category. You just need to take the additional step of selecting all of the members of a category before you print.
To use the example of a "Family" category: You would filter your contacts by selecting "Category is ... Family". Only the contacts assigned to the Family category are displayed. Click on one of those displayed contacts, then press Cmd-A to select them all, then Cmd-P to print. In the "Print:" option, choose "Selected Contacts." The print preview window will show all -- and only -- the contacts in the Family category. You can now print them in whichever layout you choose. It would be handy, for your purposes, to be able to select all of the contacts in a group that you have already defined and assign them a category, but I can't find a way to do that. You can, however, go the opposite direction. By using the same technique as above you can display a category, select all, then create a new group that will automatically contain all of the selected contacts.
