[MacGroup] connect HDs together?

I have 4 different external hard drives. I have used them for backups/  
extra space/ storing data temporarily/ etc..., but now I want to  
organize and use them more effectively.  I can plug them into my  
MacBook Pro one at a time, but I was wondering if I can plug each one  
into the other, and then into the Mac.  They are each a different  
brand, but each has two firewire ports.  Can I daisy-chain all 4  
together and end in the Mac?  Is 4 too many? Will 2 work together?
