That is just the point, Harry, the teachers are great. They do all they can for their students. They have wonderful relationships with them . That is not at all the point I am making. But you don't hear anything by the Administration that you ought to become a student there because of the great Spanish program , or that the English courses are the most excellent and you ought to become a student. Somehow these seem to me like stepchildren .They do not get the recognition they deserve, The noise is always about the sports programs. And that hurts when you look from the outside , because there are great professors not getting enough appreciation from within, so I believe, no matter how many letters of appreciation they get or about books they write etc. Of course I know the sports programs bring in the masses and carry the name everywhere. That is good . So maybe I was too general in my remarks. I just hate to see Universities carry their credentials as if only the sports programs mattered. Of course the sports audiences have a lot to do with the great popularity. And UofL is therefore known under that sign, all over the country. That of course is good in a way, brings in students and makes the UofL name so popular. . And now I sign off on this theme. Marta
