I'd like to add that I believe that the use of personal certificates is far
more popular and more widespread than the decisionmakers at Microsoft may
believe - and I think it is relatively difficult to gauge the popularity of
such certificate use, when those people who DO need to use them, simply use
Netscape, and don't necessarily bother reporting this need to Microsoft
(particularly since 99% of such users out there most likely do not know of
this list, and going through 'normal channels' is not only tantamount to
painful tooth extraction, but also likely to *not* pass this information on
to the MBU.

At the very least, if personal certificates are not to be supported, the
behavior should at least be changed to not generate an error/dialog EVERY
page, but maybe simply display a little icon in the status bar indicating
that the connection is 'unsafe'.

Then again, I'd guess that the majority of users using personal certificates
come from the Linux platform, and we all know that Microsoft has decreed
that platform to be a 'cancer' (just a little humor to start the day).
