We understand the need for support for personal certificates by some
groups of MacIE users, and we will strongly consider it when we are
working on a release where we are adding new functionality and feature;
but this upcoming release is not it.

Our focus right now is 100% on shipping a final release of MacIE for Mac
OS X. We cannot let anything distract us from that goal for lots of
reasons. Please continue to send us feedback about things you'd like us
to do for future releases.

There is no conspiracy theory behind the lack of personal certificate
support in MacIE, it's just never been a higher priority than the other
things we've had to do for each release.

My point exactly, and I hope that the MSIE team will take this thread to
heart, as they are merely creating a self-fulfilling prophecy. On a
serious
note, it's just a matter of time until a browser comes out that does
what
Netscape offers, and the best parts of MSIE, and it will work with
certificates.

Even if that browser cost money, I would willingly switch - just as a
note.
I would hope that browser would be MSIE, but I'm afraid it might not.
