Apple takes QuickTime and iTunes to the next level. QuickTime comes pre-installed with the OS, and if iTunes isn't already, it just takes two clicks and it is. That�s odd, OS 9.2 (or OS 9.1 on non-G3 Macs) is the best version of the classic OS I've seen. Apps run quickly and smoothly and stability is good. With windows XP, M$ has finally caught up to Mac OS 9, but with OS X, there is nothing that even comes close. Apple has a big winner with OS X. I'm betting that the architecture of the core OS will last them 20 years, not the hoped 10-15. M$ has a real problem with core OSes. It'll be real interesting when the intel P5 chip comes out. From what've seen, it is an interestingly evolved RISC architecture. If intel keeps on course, everything for PCs as you know it will have to be re-written for an architecture just like the Mac. Everything else will have to run under emulation.
