Apple takes QuickTime and iTunes to the next level. QuickTime comes
pre-installed with the OS, and if iTunes isn't already, it just takes two
clicks and it is. No configuring or setup to do.

QuickTime does way more than WMP. The free version of QT is for playing back
all your media files, and the pay or "Pro" version lets you create and save
or export your audio and video work.

Yeah, thats micro$oft's problem. They have done a nice job with Office and
IE for the Mac, but the rest of their stuff just sucks.

iTunes will work on ANY Mac running OS 9 or better.
There is a crack for OS 8.5/6 but success has been patchy.

Thats odd, OS 9.2 (or OS 9.1 on non-G3 Macs) is the best version of the
classic OS I've seen. Apps run quickly and smoothly and stability is good.

With windows XP, M$ has finally caught up to Mac OS 9, but with OS X, there
is nothing that even comes close. Apple has a big winner with OS X. I'm
betting that the architecture of the core OS will last them 20 years, not
the hoped 10-15. M$ has a real problem with core OSes. It'll be real
interesting when the intel P5 chip comes out. From what've seen, it is an
interestingly evolved RISC architecture. If intel keeps on course,
everything for PCs as you know it will have to be re-written for an
architecture just like the Mac. Everything else will have to run under
emulation. Heheheh.

You're safe for now, but once all these radical anti-terrorism efforts are
over, M$ will be in the spotlight once again. Hopefully they'll get shut
down for good. We can't have huge monstrosities toppling competitors with
unfair business practices. Its un-American and is hurting the progression of
technology.
