You can't compare iTunes to any sort of media player (from microsoft or real
networks, or whoever). iTunes is _not_ a media player, it is an MP3 player.

Compare iTunes to SoundJam and other MP3 players.

Compare windows media player, real player to other media players like
QuickTime.

Also, windows media player for any OS is is riveted with bugs and short
comings. I know many people who refuse to install it.

Lots of browsers? There are only 3 or 4 current full featured browsers for
the Mac. Would you call having 3 applications installed on your computer a
lot?

To answer the question, iTunes (version 2) is the king of MP3 players. Apple
has done a very good job with all their "I" software.
