Hi Steve, my network has both PCs and Macs and use
PC-MacLan...I have created in Appletalk and TCP-IP panels
separate confirgurations...One is LAN my ethernet network
and the other is Defaut, dialup...but, alas that doesn't
work as it should. I created a new confir...called
TCP/IP and that is on all the time. My Lan in appletalk
lets me use my Cable Connection but the Default in TCP/IP
doesn't work anymore and I can't dial up. (Important
because need dial up to check email using
Netscape...issue with encription/Cable invisible IPS.) I
have Appletalk on all the time. I have DCHP set, too.
Apparetnly, LAN allows my use of the router where it
finds the cable connection with no problem (except email
and netlists). That might help your situation with a
separate confirguration in Appletalk/TCP/IP Panels. Any
ideas about how to make my dail up work? (opposite from
your problem.)
Thanks, Bob
