Hi Tim, It’s very curious that you have had no issues with Preview since upgrading to yosemite. For me, the problems started exactly after I had upgraded to the latest OS. I wonder whether you think that this may have something to do with the age of the mac I have. My macbook air is late 2010 and has only 4GB RAM. However this was never a problem under Maverick. The other strange thing is that quite often, if I call up contextual menu on a pdf file and choose open with, instead of the usual list of apps that I might choose to open the said pdf file with, I get just one result, i.e. fetching. I have no idea what fetching is. There’s nothing else in the list. This is most odd.
