Its totally broken. the other day, I opened up a pdf, and there was no text 
what so ever despite me being able to open it in my windows machine. I was with 
a sighted person and she told me that I was stuck on a page which had pictures, 
and could not find a way to get out of that page. she had to do it with VO 
turned off. I believe that the level of pdf support has in fact gotten much 
worse, and apple accessibility definitely need to be notified of this. A lot of 
us students often rely on pdf as most if not all academic  journals are in pdf 
format and not being able to access them on the mac is simply unacceptable. 
this is why the mac will never replace my windows in terms of productivity.
