I can load the app from the Applications folder. But when its in menu extras, I am not sure what the usual way of opening it is. I tried it with VO space to activate it and it would flash on screen then go away again. I found if I held down the keys it would open. If that is normal, then good.

So I tried that method with Dropbox and it eventually opened to its folder in Finder.

So I need to find out the right way to open these apps from menu extras.

. . . what if it were true?

I haven’t used Fantastical in a very long time and purchased it a couple of
years ago. I used to get to Fantastical via launch pad from the doc. Also, in
settings there is a option to set up a hot key to open fantastical. One more
thing is that if you lose focus on the app, you can find it via the application
chooser by using vo keys plus F1 or vo plus FN plus f1 twice.
