Christina,
VO-shift-space is reliable once I found that keystroke.

I tried entering a custom keystroke in Fantastical but could not. Will need to look at that again.

Hmmm, I’ve never tried to open it from menu extras. Did you try the application
chooser? I’m not talking about the applications folder. That is how I used to
get to it or I would use a shortcut keystrokes that I set up within
fantastical’s settings and that would usually bring fantastical into focus. It
was like it was always sort of hanging around somewhere in the background. When
I got sighted assistance a sighted user could see it open but the only way I
could bring it into focus was by using the application chooser or the hotkeys
tha I set up within Fantastical’s settings.

Good Luck,

I can load the app from the Applications folder. But when its in menu
extras, I am not sure what the usual way of opening it is. I tried it with VO
space to activate it and it would flash on screen then go away again. I found
if I held down the keys it would open. If that is normal, then good.

So I tried that method with Dropbox and it eventually opened to its folder
in Finder.

So I need to find out the right way to open these apps from menu extras.

I haven’t used Fantastical in a very long time and purchased it a couple of
years ago. I used to get to Fantastical via launch pad from the doc. Also, in
settings there is a option to set up a hot key to open fantastical. One more
thing is that if you lose focus on the app, you can find it via the application
chooser by using vo keys plus F1 or vo plus FN plus f1 twice.

Christina
