I should have said "I don't like to change it', rather than "I don't recommend 
changing it". Yes, it's absolutely personal preference.

I prefer it the Mac way because I feel like I have a more accurate 
representation of where I am, and can keep track of it better. Knowing which 
two characters my cursor is between makes more sense to me, and every time I 
have to use Windows, I find it just as frustrating to edit text as you do on 
the Mac. <smile>
