I purchased my new Iphone from the Apple Store, Buchanan Street store in Glasgow. As I live a bit out in the sticks and outwith the visually impaired community, and with no immediately visually impaired friends to help me out with technical knowledge/ skills to set up my new phone, I requested assistance from the Apple Stors "Genius" section. The volunteer who set up my phone failed to set Seri up properly as when I returned home my new phone told me that Apple Pay and Seri have not fully been set up. That was about 6 months ago and I still cannot secure help to sort out this problem and I'm still struggling on my own Any friends I meet in my local bar don't know anything about Seri or indeed voice over and although I may be able to get technical support in Glasgow, it's about 80 miles away and I'm currently waiting for a replacement Guidedog, So It's increditably difficult to get a grips as to what exactly is wrong with my phone and how to resolve this issue When I open my iphone , I try to engage the passcode by running a single finger up from the bottom of the screen, but before I can start to achieve this, for no reason at all voice over says something like 40%. If I Arrow right voice over will say 50%, then 60% and if I do a left fflick , the % number will come down. I'm almost afraid to lift my phone up from a table or even touch it because, it's saying all sorts of things on it's own and I'm afraid of accidentally making significant changes. Does this mean anything at all to anyone as it's doing my nut in and I simply don't know what to do now. Very best wishes. Andy Logue.
