Okay, this is a problem I've been having for a while, but it's so weird and
difficult to describe I've avoided posting on here about it. But it's really
annoying me now and I want to get to the bottom of it. I haven't yet contacted
Apple Care or [email protected] because I want to better understand the
issue myself before I write to them, so I can give them as much information as
possible.

It relates to VoiceOver on my iPhone. What it boils down to, is VoiceOver
saying the word "login" a lot where it shouldn't. It will say this on most
text/edit fields, as well as on many links and when entering new areas on a
page or app. I can't work out any special pattern of when and where it says it,
but it does it in a number of different places, most often in text/edit fields.
The obvious point to clarify is that this is not just on a login text area, but
also on many other elements such as links, search fields etc.

The problem began occurring a while back after I tried applying some custom
labels to two apps. These apps both had the same name, but were different apps.
They were called Silver Service. They were taxi services but for different
cities. I tried renaming them with the two finger double tap gesture, to
include the name of the city after the title Silver Service. However, when I
renamed one, the other app would change its name as well. So the names on the
apps both kept synchronising. I tried changing them back many times but they
just kept in sync.

Now, after this, I noticed VoiceOver saying the word "Silver Service" (the name
of those apps) all the time, particularly in text/edit fields. I was very
confused at first, thinking that the words Silver Service had been entered into
all these text fields. I soon discovered, however, that this was just a weird
VoiceOver bug.

Not long after this, VoiceOver stopped saying "Silver Service", and began
saying "login" instead.

I recently tried resetting my iPhone and restored it from a back up, but the
problem is exactly the same. I suppose this isn't surprising as restoring from
a back up restores all the settings etcetera, so obviously restored the bug as
well.

It's an iPhone 4s running iOS 6.1.3.

Does anyone have any ideas about this?

Many thanks in advance,

Nic
