i had followed up in bugzilla, but you may have overlooked the message.

what i now believe is that in 0.65, the search in courier was failing, but
the error message wasn't being passed back to me by mahogany. in the
current version from cvs, i get an error dialog that tells me that courier
fails (probably a resource problem, my laptop has a max of 384M of RAM and
it's maxed out.) if i shut lots of stuff down, the courier searches succeed
and i get the virtual folder popup.

if my theory is correct (that is, there's an error dialog in current that
wasn't in 0.65), then as far as i'm concerned, this issue can be marked
resolved.

hmmmm.

here's a possibility:

1) in the move to dialog, have a checkbox that indicates that the message
is to be removed from the underlying folder 

2) for quick move, have a checkbox in preferences
